                      Welcome to my Journal! 


Hello! My name is Cameron Tucker and I guess I have a blog now! the purpose and process of this blog is to release one article per week on various topics, but typically in the vein of; politics, religion, or major life events going on in the world of a 20 year old college student. What makes my journal and blog unique is that I aim to provide unbiased, accurate and informative news in a world of media bias and fear-mongering. Additionally, I aim to demonstrate how politics AND religion can influence each other - as long as it is done correctly, but we will get into that topic at a future date. Finally, I plan to be as authentic as I possibly can be with my life and the challenges I face. Now, since I have explained the purpose and passion behind this blog maybe I should introduce the blogger? is that what I am now? anyway. 

Hi! My name is Cameron Tucker and as mentioned above I am a 20 year old college student in the thrilling area of Augusta Georgia (it’s not thrilling at all). I recently graduated from Georgia Military college with a 2 year degree in general studies and am in route to getting my bachelor’s in the summer of 2027 in Political Science. 

Outside of college I enjoy jogging, and going to the gym (on a somewhat consistent basis), spending time with my friends and family, recording and creating music, listening to political and religious commentary - thrilling i know, and finally I really enjoy writing in literally any sense. I enjoy writing due to the power of words, the way you can capture an audience with clever imagery, and how they express our thoughts and feelings! thus why I am making a blog! I was also encouraged to get a portfolio going for my work but I promise you I will thoroughly enjoy this process 😅.

What about my likes? Thank you so much!!! I really enjoy the Netflix show Stranger Things - not sure if you’ve heard of it, it’s super niche. Outside of that, I really don’t watch much tv but I am open to suggestions! I love Hip/Hop and alternative music! Hip/Hop is what got me into writing at a young age believe it or not. I love the way so many rappers and artists express themselves through their words and it inspired me to do the same! My favorite rap artist is none other than Kendrick Lamar, and my favorite song by him is “The Art of Peer Pressure” - see I am NOT a casual. I am a huge lover of my dog Lady! We recused her a few years back during 2020 from a lab in south carolina that did terrible testing on dogs like her.  Hopefully when I figure out how to add images I can update this post and include the image of me holding her on a hiking trail. Oh, and I love arguing with strangers online! Obviously that’s a joke and I hope my humor is seeping through the screen and provided you with a slight smile, if not I will continue to the serious side of this blog - if it did, nice. 

I also really enjoy hiking! Which is kind of funny considering I am quite literally allergic to all aspects of nature. God really does have a sense of humor. Lastly, I am huge advocate for seeing nuance in various aspects of life - politics, faith etc. I also have strong opinions on Pornhub and how they directly fund sex trafficking (be on the lookout for a blog about that specifically). I do not particularly identify myself with a political party due to the fact that I am very young and my opinions grow and change over time. I am sure with this blog not only I, but the reader will see that as well. 

Will this be the main form of content you create? Not necessarily! I plan to create political commentary, religious takes, and more short form video content on my instagram and tiktok pages. Additionally I plan to release longer forms of video commentary on my youtube page once a month, with an article/blog post weekly. My schedule for blog posts *should be* every Friday at 3 pm est. Links to all of those places listed above will be in my linktree where you can find everything about me!! Okay, I think that covers everything for an introductory blog post, I wouldn’t know I am new to this!! Besides that, thank you for reading my journal and tuning into my new venture! Okay - hi, hello! I have been very gone and absent from this page and for that I am very sorry! Cameron’s Journal #2: Exploring Nato’s Expansion and It’s impact today.

Entry #2 - 6/25/2025 The North Atlantic Treaty Organization or “NATO” for short was created in 1949 as  protection against the Soviet Union. NATO was created during the era of the Cold War. Since then, I have reason to believe it has become means to limit and target Russia, and China. Whether its by tariffs, border drawings, political or military tactics, the moves made by NATO in terms of expansion are pointing towards aggression and limiting the power of Russia. Perhaps NATO fears Russia and their potential power. Perhaps NATO simply wants to be a world dominating power and therefore must limit opposing world powers. I believe the answer is found in the history of their expansion, and will spend time dissecting the history behind NATO, their origin, and why they continue to act hostile towards it’s enemies.
